“In this Epic Poem for Bedtime, a six-year-old Ancient Greek Hero in-the-making will take his first step towards greatness by making mythical new friends, and overcoming a fear”
“Andreas, the Brave” is an original children’s book dummy, written and illustrated by me, Emily Barksdale.
Synopsis – Inspired by Ancient Greek myth and epic poetry, Andreas the Brave is a picture book for young children, starring Andreas, a six-year-old Ancient Greek Hero in the making. Set in a Classical Era fishing village, Andreas has big dreams of becoming a legendary sea faring adventurer, like Jason and the Argonauts. However, he has never learned to swim due to his fear of mythic sea monsters that could be lurking in the ocean. Little does he know that the three strange little girls he stumbles upon on the beach one day and befriends, are child versions of the very sea monsters that he fears! With the help of Melina, Galina and Delphina, Andreas learns to overcome his fears of the ocean and learn to swim, gaining new friends along the way and taking the first step in his long journey to becoming Greek Hero.
